Job summary

RAPID RECRUITMENT ASIA PTE. LTD. in Woodlands (Singapore) is seeking a Cost Accounting Specialist for an eight-month maternity contract. The role covers monthly closings for cost accounting and inventory with close collaboration to Production, Procurement and Finance teams.

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance, and have hands-on experience with standard costing, variance analysis and SAP/Excel. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, near MRT access.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in cost accounting or manufacturing costing preferred.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, variance analysis and inventory management.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cycle count programs and physical inventory processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly closing activities related to cost accounting and inventory.
• Prepare and maintain standard costing and cost-related reports.
• Perform cost and variance analysis and investigate significant variances.
• Perform inventory reconciliation and support inventory accuracy.
• Support cycle count and physical inventory activities.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement and Finance teams to monitor and improve costs.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and business decisions.
• Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and in accordance with company policies.
• Support continuous improvement of costing and inventory processes.
