Job summary

MORGAN MCKINLEY PTE. LTD. is supporting a leading banking and financial services client to appoint a governance lead for a 6-12 month renewable engagement.

The role focuses on driving corporate governance standards, board operations, regulatory filings, and compliance across a portfolio of entities. You will partner with senior directors to provide expert governance counsel, manage Powers of Attorney, and build strong relationships with internal executives and regulators.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in corporate secretarial practices, financial services regulations, and governance.
• Proven success leading through change and working across matrixed organizations.
• Ability to distill complex legal concepts into actionable insights and maintain high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end meeting preparation, execution, and governance for subsidiary boards and committees.
• Oversee legal filings, statutory duties, and exchange listing obligations for entities.
• Partner with boards and leadership to advise on governance and director appointments.
• Direct issuance and management of Powers of Attorney across entities.
• Build trusted relationships with executives and regulators.
• Mentor junior staff and implement process improvements to governance workflows.
