Job summary

AIA is seeking an experienced IT professional to design, develop, and maintain BPM and Document Management solutions that optimize business processes. You will lead application delivery across enterprise systems, ensure audit readiness, and align technology with corporate goals.

Requirements include 8+ years in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot Microservices, BPM tools, and experience with OpenText Case360, Software AG BPM, and Logic Apps/PowerApps. Knowledge of Azure, Docker, and AKS is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of delivering IT solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and BPM/Workflow tools.
• Proven ability to manage internal and external teams including offshore personnel.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications in Java/J2EE, BPM or workflow systems preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and business domain.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE frameworks, Spring, and related tech.
• Experience with BPM/Workflow tools OpenText Case360, SAP/Software AG BPM, and Logic Apps/PowerApps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Application Delivery: deliver prioritized works for new product rollouts; manage prioritization across multiple enterprise apps; design and maintain BPM/DM solutions; ensure quality across teams and vendors.
• IT Risk & Security: address audit findings, remediate vulnerabilities within standard timelines, raise exceptions when needed, and avoid delays for critical risks.
• Other Responsibilities: align solutions with strategic objectives, analyze technology impact on processes, propose optimization, and identify cost-effective tech investments.

About the Role

Contribute to the organization's technological advancement by designing, developing, and maintaining effective BPM and Document Management application solutions that enhance business processes and information management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Application Delivery

• Delivery of prioritized works, in supporting new products roll-out initiative.

• Managing the prioritization and execution of tasks in various enterprise applications (Case360, CIS, FPR, LEAP).

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable BPM and Document Management application solutions to optimize business processes and information management.

• Proactively manage quality standards across the entire development landscape, including the local team, AIA offshore development centers, and external vendors.

IT Risk & Security

• No overdue items in completion of management actions to address audit findings.

• Timely remediation for any vulnerabilities reported within the Standard timeline.

• Timely raise exception request to cover all the vulnerabilities that cannot be remediated with Standard timeline and obtain approval before due date.

• Zero delay for all critical, high, and medium risks mitigation and acceptance within stipulated timeframe.

Other Responsibilities and Duties

• Accountable to the duty assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.

• Align technical solutions with the organization's strategic objectives.

• Analyze the impact of technology on business processes and propose optimization strategies.

• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions that maximize the return on technology investments.

• Ensure that the work done by the department colleagues are aligned to corporate responsibilities (e.g. Fair Dealing).

• Ensures there are no major risk audit comments and achieve audit rating of Needs Minor Improvement or above.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• University Degree in IT or equivalent.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in delivering IT solutions to businesses using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot Microservices and BPM/Workflow tools.

• Proven ability to manage and collaborate with internal and external teams, including local or offshore personnel and service providers.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Certification in Java/J2EE, Business Process Management (BPM) or workflow systems.

• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance processes and business domain.

• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, J2EE (Spring Framework), and Spring Boot microservices.

• Experience with application servers and tools such as JBoss EAP application servers, JBoss Drools rules engine, and Apache web server.

• Possesses Database knowledge in MS SQL Server and stored procedures.

• Experience working with BPM/Workflow systems, preferably in OpenText Case360, Software AG BPM, and Microsoft Logic Apps/PowerApps.

• Skilled in Cloud computing: Microsoft Azure platform, Designing and deployment using Dockers & AKS, and Azure functions.

• Additional programming skills (a plus) in Python, C#, and SharePoint.

• Familiarity with web development technologies such as AngularJS & jQuery (Kendo UI) and JSP.
