Job summary

Centroid Engineering Solutions Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced electrical/instrumentation engineer to design networks, program PLCs and develop SCADA systems.

The role involves hands-on installation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting at customer sites. You will coordinate internal and external resources to meet FAT deadlines, diagnose machine faults, and propose corrective and preventive actions to maximise equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in electrical/instrument engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in service or programming with troubleshooting in semiconductor, nutrition, and oil & gas industries.
• Knowledge of cyber security requirements.
• Experience with instrumentation and electrical control systems.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design network, perform PLC programming and SCADA development.
• Hands-on work including installation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to meet FAT on time.
• Identify machine faults and propose corrective/preventive actions to increase uptime.
• Prepare on-site reports, service reports, hour reports and expense reports.

Job description

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Instrument Engineering or equivalent in a technical discipline
• At least 5 years in service / programming experience with excellent troubleshooting skills in Semiconductor, Nutrition, and Oil & gas industries
• Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, Honeywell, and Schneider Electric automation software such as Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, SIMATIC S7, Experion, Wonderware. etc.
• Knowledge and experience with instrumentation and electrical control
• Knowledge in Cyber Security requirements
• Knowledge in Control Panel Designing, EPlan, AutoCAD
• Reliability flexibility & can work under pressure.
• Result oriented and creative in problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and solutions effectively.

Functions

• To design network, carryout PLC Programming & SCADA Development

• Prepare On-Site Reports, Service-Reports, Hour-Reports, Expense Reports and other documents.
