Job Summary
Our Control System Engineer is expected to develop, configure, and implement automation system applications and GUIs. Plan system configurations, conduct testing, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful commissioning and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure system applications and graphical user interfaces (GUI) to meet project requirements
- Plan and design system configurations by preparing control schematics, wiring diagrams, and field termination drawings
- Set up and maintain system databases and prepare control narratives, functional descriptions, and testing and commissioning (T&C) documentation
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance with project specifications
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system configuration and integration issues during project execution
- Coordinate with project teams, engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure successful system implementation and commissioning
- Provide technical support during site testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with company standards, client requirements, and relevant industry regulations
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Programming knowledge in SCADA, Python, or PLC programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated by proactively learning new technologies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within teams and with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
