Job summary

Recruit Expert in Singapore seeks an Automation Engineer to support the development and implementation of industrial automation and control systems, including PLC programming and software configuration per project requirements.

Responsibilities include documentation, program development and troubleshooting, plus testing with FAT/SAT and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in controls or automation engineering.
• Practical knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens S7/TIA Portal); experience with C# or VB programming.
• Exposure to integrating or interfacing with servo systems, vision systems, load cells or other third-party automation equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills; able to work independently within a project team.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of industrial automation and control systems, including controls design, PLC programming and software configuration according to project requirements.
• Assist in preparing and updating electrical/control documentation, ensuring designs and technical deliverables comply with project specifications, internal procedures and relevant industry standards.
• Develop, modify and troubleshoot control programs based on customer requirements, with a focus on reliable machine operation and successful project delivery.
• Participate in system testing, debugging, internal testing, FAT and SAT, working closely with project, process, mechanical and electrical engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders on controls-related matters, maintain project progress records and ensure assigned tasks are completed within agreed timelines.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in controls or automation engineering.
• Practical knowledge of PLC programming, particularly Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens S7/TIA Portal; experience with C# or VB programming.
• Exposure to integrating or interfacing with servo systems, vision systems, load cells or other third-party automation equipment will be an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team.

Salary: $3,000 to $4,500
