Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Logistics Specialist focused on shipment monitoring and control, exception management, and customer service. You will track freight across Air, Ocean, and Land, identify deviations, and coordinate with operations to update billing and quotations.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end tracking of freight movements (air, ocean, land) using Excel templates.
• Track estimated vs actual transit times, identify deviations, and coordinate with operations to update billing and quotations.
• Proactive identification, escalation, and resolution of operational disruptions.
• Conduct root cause analysis on exceptions and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary contact for shipment visibility and proactive delay alerts within SLAs.
• Prepare shipment reports, KPI dashboards and perform periodic performance reviews.
• Coordinate bookings, routing changes, and monitor carrier performance against SLAs.
• Generate operational reports and monitor KPIs to support continuous improvement.
• Validate shipping documentation and ensure compliance with Incoterms and SOPs.

Job description

Shipment Monitoring and Control

• End-to-end tracking and control of freight movements (Air, Ocean, Land) using excel tracking templates.
• Track estimated vs. actual transit times, identify deviations, and coordinate with operations teams to update billing and quotation changes.

Exception Management

• Proactive identification, escalation, and resolution of operational disruptions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on exceptions, implement corrective/preventive actions, and maintain exception logs.

Customer Communication & Service Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment visibility, providing proactive alerts on delays and responding within agreed SLAs.
• Prepare and share shipment reports, KPI dashboards, and conduct periodic performance reviews.

Carrier & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate bookings, routing adjustments, and schedule changes.
• Monitor carrier performance against SLAs/contracts and collaborate with vendors to optimize routing and resolve constraints.

Data Analysis & Performance Management

• Generate operational reports and analyze trends in shipment performance and cost. Monitor KPIs (On-Time Delivery, Transit Time Accuracy, Exception Rate, Carrier Performance, Cost per Shipment) to support continuous improvement.

Compliance & Documentation Control

• Validate accuracy of shipping documentation (BL, AWB, invoices) and ensure compliance with Incoterms, customs requirements, and internal SOPs to maintain audit-ready records.
