Job summary

Keller Foundations (SE Asia) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead contract management for its projects. You will assess commercial and contractual risk, protect Keller's interests, manage change orders, and pursue claims opportunities to maximize project margins.

Responsibilities include leading works per Keller policies, providing principal contract support, budgeting, processing of claims, drafting and reviewing contracts, and overseeing subcontract awards and payments.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or law.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in the engineering or construction industry.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Accountability, proactive attitude and teamwork.

Job description

In accordance with the industry's best practices and Keller policies, the Contracts Manager is responsible to assess and control commercial and contractual risk, ensuring all contractual documents are adequately protective of Keller and that change management and claims opportunities are maximised to Keller's advantage.

General responsibilities:

• Lead the works in accordance with Keller Policies and Procedures.
• Provide the principal contract support and lead all contract management activities for the Project
• Protect and pursue Keller's interests and contractual rights.
• Maintain Keller's liability exposure under strict control.
• Track any risks and track/pursue opportunities in view of consolidating and increasing the project profit margin.
• Providing support to various departments ensuring obligations entered by company is consistent to its legal and risk management policies.
• Efficient operational running of a department which includes project budgeting, processing of claims, payment and settlement of final accounts as well as proper documentation.
• Preparing drafting and reviewing various types of construction contract agreements.
• Call and award subcontracts works, material & services supply and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
• Manage post contracts contractual matters and ensuring that all contractsdeliver the most cost-effective solution.
• Manage variations orders and extension of the Time for on-going projects including claims and amendments.
• Oversee the issue of purchase orders and work orders and sub-contractors' payment
• To perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Possess a Professional Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Law.
• Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in the engineering or construction industry.
• Demonstrates accountability and a proactive approach to work.
• Maintains a positive and collaborative attitude.
• Solutions-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective teamwork.
• Proven leadership abilities in guiding and developing team members in alignment with the company's mission and vision.
