Job summary

Sembcorp Specialised Construction in Singapore is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveying assistant to support cost estimation, tender preparation, and procurement activities on major projects.

Qualifications

• Background in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cost estimation, contract management, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or other QS software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Singaporean candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Support QS team in contract administration, procurement, and progress claims assessment.
• Conduct site measurements and assist in evaluating variations and cost control measures.
• Work with costing and estimation software to analyze project budgets.
• Assist in reviewing project specifications, contracts, and construction drawings.
• Conduct market research on material costs and supplier pricing.
• Support project teams in monitoring budgets and financial performance.
• Prepare reports and documentation to track project costs and financial risks.
