Job summary

National University Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic procedures and support quality service for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include receiving specimens, operating the LIS, performing waived and moderate complexity tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting in administrative tasks.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and 1–2 years' experience preferred; strong communication and customer service skills; able to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science is required.
• Good laboratory skills and competency in basic computer systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive laboratory specimens and reject unsuitable ones.
• Operate the Laboratory Information System for results and orders.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity tests per lab protocols.
• Maintain laboratory safety and assist with instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Provide timely responses to customer queries and report adverse incidents.
