Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Cost Accountant to support Singapore manufacturing operations and drive cost control. You will handle standard costing, variances, month-end closing, and cycle counts while collaborating with Finance, Manufacturing and Warehouse teams.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy/Finance and hands-on cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is essential, with strong analytical skills and independence valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance or related discipline.
• Relevant cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing and Warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support cost accounting activities for Singapore manufacturing operations.
• Perform cost roll activities for new product launches and product transfers.
• Participate in the annual cost roll process.
• Review and correct work order and purchase price variances.
• Support scrap review and reclassification activities.
• Handle costing and inventory month-end closing activities.
• Prepare Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis reports.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams on the Cycle Count Programme.
• Witness cycle counts and approve cycle count sheets.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis and finance projects.
