Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Cost Controller to join our finance team in Singapore. The role focuses on cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis to maintain accurate product costs and support month-end close.

You will collaborate with production, warehouse, and finance stakeholders to monitor variances, update standard costs, and provide insightful reports for management review.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost accounting within manufacturing or related finance functions.
• Solid understanding of product costing and inventory accounting.
• Experience investigating manufacturing variances including work order and purchase price variances.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across finance, manufacturing, supply chain and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support cost accounting and inventory-related activities for Singapore manufacturing operations.
• Prepare and maintain product costing for new product introductions, transfers and costing changes.
• Assist with annual standard cost updates to keep costing data accurate and current.
• Review manufacturing work order variances and identify underlying causes for corrections.
• Analyse purchase price variances and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
• Support scrap reporting and reclassification to reflect costs accurately.
