Job summary

TikTok is the leading platform for short-form mobile video and hosts teams worldwide. The Safety Model Operations team builds and maintains ML models and processes that support trust, safety, and risk control across regions.

The SMO Delivery Team drives QA for each project, ensuring labeling accuracy, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing workflows. Mandarin liaison with the China team is required for daily business communication and policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in journalism, sociology, or related fields.
• Keen sense of content safety and online awareness, able to accurately identify implicit risks and understand policies.
• Strong pattern summarization abilities, with proficiency in content review, public opinion monitoring, and common tools like Excel.
• Flexible thinking, strong sense of responsibility, and good cross-department communication and coordination skills, as well as emergency response capabilities.
• Strong learning ability and high comprehension, able to quickly adapt to changes in regulatory policies and the content ecosystem of the platform.
• Mandarin proficiency is also required, as it is mandatory for daily liaison with the China team in the China market and the accurate communication of business information.

Responsibilities

• Interpret regulations, community standards, and platform policies, converting them into actionable guidelines.
• Monitor the content ecosystem of UGC and PGC, proactively identifying explicit and implicit content risks, as well as borderline content risks, and extracting risk characteristics.
• Handle emergent content safety risk events, quickly defining the issues and prioritizing actions, promoting cross-department collaboration to complete the resolution loop and optimize the review process.
• Produce risk assessment reports to provide decision support for optimizing platform rules and review strategies.
• Proficient in using content review tools, public opinion monitoring systems, and data analysis tools, collaborating with operations, safety product, and other teams to implement risk prevention strategies.
