Job summary

SPH Media is seeking a highly motivated Content Producer for its HeyKaki social media brand. The role involves creating Chinese content for Gen Z, including videos, posts and memes, with a strong focus on trends in Singapore.

You'll work with producers, influencers, videographers and editors to plan, film and edit content, with on-screen hosting and basic CapCut editing skills preferred. Contract until 31 March 2028; portfolio welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline with at least 1 year of experience; portfolio encouraged.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; comfortable on screen for a Chinese publication.
• Creative, fun-loving with a sense of humour and youth culture interest.
• Familiar with trending topics among Gen Z in Singapore; strong social media instincts.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience speaking or hosting on camera is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and create creative Chinese social media content for Gen Zs and young adults, these include short-form and long-form videos, social media posts and memes.
• Stay up to date with latest social media trends, current affairs, and trending topics among young people in Singapore.
• Strong storytelling and research skills, with the ability to turn ideas and trending topics into engaging content that resonates with young audiences.
• Comfortable speaking Chinese on screen, and willing to try hosting, new trends, experiences, attractions and activities etc for content.
• Work closely with fellow producers, influencers, videographers and video editors to ideate, plan, film and edit videos.
• Basic editing of short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines; at least 1 year of relevant working experience (please include your portfolio if available).
• Effectively bilingual (English & Chinese). Able to converse fluent in Chinese as this role supports a Chinese publication.
• Fun-loving person, highly creative with a sense of humour.
• Keen interest in trending topics, youth culture, Asian Entertainment, and creating entertaining and informative Chinese content for young adults.
• Adept at using various social media platforms and aware of the best practices to optimise content performance.
• Organised and able to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines.
• Basic knowledge in video editing (eg: Capcut) and video production would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with local content creators, influencers and the Singapore social media scene, as well as experience in speaking or hosting in front of the camera is a bonus.
