Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION (SOUTH PACIFIC) DEVELOPMENT CO. PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure compliance with WSH and environmental regulations on site, support the WSH Officer, and assist in safety reporting.

The role requires an Advanced Safety & Health certificate, at least two years in construction, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Experience with MOM regulations is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Possess an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations, as well as relevant statutory requirements.
• Follow up on site walk inspection findings raised by the Safety Committee and support the WSH Officer in closing out reports, including assistance in incident and accident investigations.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed and documented, and conduct mass toolbox meetings on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly adhere to approved safe work procedures.
• Assist the WSH Officer in organizing monthly Safety Committee meetings and preparing safety-related reports, including the tracking of safety issues.
• Compile and maintain all relevant safety records and reports, and conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety measures and procedures are implemented in accordance with MOM regulations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
