Job summary

E M SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to identify risks, implement safe work procedures, and lead safety initiatives across construction sites.

You will coordinate with supervisors and workers, oversee subcontractors, and drive compliance with WSH regulations. Relevant MOM registration is required; an environmental and fire safety background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered WSHO with MOM.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience on construction sites.
• Solid knowledge of WSH Act and related regulations (NEA, SCDF, BCA, HDB).
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess foreseeable risks in the workplace or processes.
• Recommend practicable measures to eliminate risks to workers.
• Implement safe work procedures and conduct safety inductions.
• Enter, inspect and examine the workplace, machinery and safety documents.
• Lead monthly/weekly safety inspections and emergency drills.
• Oversee subcontractors' safety implementation and compliance.
• Prepare weekly inspection reports and safety management slides.
• Promote EHS awareness through campaigns and training initiatives.
• Participate in Risk Management Team reviews and provide feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
