Job summary

Oung Construction (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee all site activities, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with drawings and regulations. You will lead engineers, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive timely delivery across offshore and on-site projects.

This role requires strong leadership, vast knowledge of marine construction regulations, and the ability to manage diverse teams while maintaining schedule integrity and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experiences in construction management, civil engineering or project related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD; SketchUp knowledge advantageous.
• Strong capability in client management and team/people management across diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of regulations, environmental guidelines and safety standards in marine construction.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site, including remote or offshore locations.
• Physical fitness for varied project environments.
• Willing to work beyond standard hours to meet client/project exigencies.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for all construction activities with respect to performance, procedure, and recommending improvements to project managers.
• Manage contractors focusing on quality, compliance with drawings, codes, standards, and schedule/cost.
• Interface and coordinate with engineering supporting construction activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate construction policies.
• Oversee management of project activities to ensure timely delivery and low wastage.
• Manage and lead a group of engineers.
• Coordinate with other departments on issues affecting project works.
• Liaise with government/statutory authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers, etc.
• Provide timely project progress reporting to management and attend execution meetings.
• Select, guide and develop a multicultural labour force and management team to meet objectives and comply with laws.
• Ensure quality assurance and ISO standards are met on construction activities and customer quality specifications.
• Allocate capital and human resources to maximise productivity.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

• Select, guide and develop a multicultural labour force & management team with construction responsibilities to ensure that the organization achieves it business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
• Ensuring quality assurance and iso standards are met on all construction related activities and ensure customer quality specifications are constantly met.
• Allocate capital and human resources to maximize productivity.
• Other ad-hoc duties required to carry out.

Job Requirement:

1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or relevant field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experiences in construction management, civil engineering or project related role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD etc. Knowledge in SketchUp will be an advantage.
4. Strong capability in client management and team/people management. High EQ to manage and work effectively with workers and divers from different nationalities and backgrounds.
5. Strong organisational and project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
6. Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, environmental guidelines, and safety standards in marine construction.
7. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
8. Willingness to travel and work on-site, sometimes in remote or offshore locations.
9. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various project environments.
10. Willing to work beyond standard working hours to respond to client’s requests and project exigencies, whenever required by projects.
