Job summary

MAT HYDRO INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable Construction Manager to lead day-to-day site operations and ensure the project meets schedule milestones.

You will oversee the Project Execution Plan, coordinate resources, and liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to keep progress on track. Applicants should hold a technical diploma in Mechanical or Construction, have at least 3 years in construction, and be familiar with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum a technical diploma in Mechanical or Construction.
• Minimum 3 years in construction sector.
• Experience in industrial piping installations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day construction management to meet project milestones.
• Supervise and implement the approved Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues at the project site.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity with specifications.
• Liaise with Project Manager and Engineers to oversee operational and administrative processes.
• Coordinate with external sub-contractors, consultants, vendors, and clients to progress according to schedule.
• Coordinate allocation of resources, materials and labour.
• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance; suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with site safety and regulatory requirements.

• To lead and oversee the day-to-day construction management, that the project meets the benchmarks and milestones of the project timeline.
• To supervise and implement the approved Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• To troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered at the project site.
• To inspect work in progress, ensuring conformity with specifications and requirements.
• To liaise with Project Manager and Engineers to oversee all operational and administrative process.
• To liaise with external sub-contractors, consultants, vendors and clients to work on project progression in accordance with schedule.
• To coordinate the allocation of resources, materials and labour management.
• To monitor construction productivity & schedule performance, and to provide modification recommendations for improvement.
• To comply with site safety and regulatory requirements.

[B] Job Requirements

• Minimum a technical diploma in Mechanical or Construction discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in the construction sector.
• Those with experience in industrial piping installations will have an added advantage.
• Solid grasp of construction methods, building compliance and safety regulations.
• Leadership skills, including task delegation and staff management.
• Decision-making, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Required WSH competencies: BCSS, CSCPM, MWAH, SWCSO, CSM and bizSAFE L2.
