Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Construction Manager to lead all on-site activities from project start to handover, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence while meeting quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires 9–11 years of construction experience, with leadership exposure in high-tech or pharma environments, and strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil/structural engineering, or related field.
• Diploma holders may be considered with relevant experience or certifications.
• Minimum 9–11 years of construction experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Experience with RC precast, cast structures, and steel-framed building construction.
• Previous semiconductor, microelectronics, pharma, or high-tech project experience preferred.
• Strong coordination of multidisciplinary construction teams and external works.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction team manpower planning, resource allocation and staff development.
• Ensure schedules, quality requirements and responsibilities are understood by teams.
• Coordinate activities with engineering, planning and other disciplines.
• Provide regular progress updates to management and stakeholders.
• Attend client, EHS, project, subcontractor, authority and risk meetings.
• Conduct site safety walks, reviews, and contractor coordination meetings.
• Review methods, sequencing, material suitability and safety in design.
• Oversee site activities and resolve construction issues timely.
• Manage scope to comply with drawings, specs, contracts, and budget.
• Review and approve lifting plans, equipment and temporary works.
• Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and authority requirements.
• Maintain construction SOPs and support temporary/preliminary work packages.
• Assume day-to-day Project Manager responsibilities when needed.
• Support commercial objectives related to construction activities.

Position Summary

Responsible for leading and managing all construction activities from project commencement through handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction team manpower planning, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and staff development.
• Ensure construction personnel understand project schedules, quality requirements, and assigned responsibilities.
• Coordinate construction activities withengineering, planning, and other project disciplines.
• Provide regular construction progressupdates to management and stakeholders.
• Attend client, EHS, internal project,subcontractor, authority, risk, and constructability meetings.
• Conduct site safety walks, constructionreviews, contractor coordination meetings, and subcontractor progress meetings.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, sequencing plans, material suitability, and safety-in-design assessments.
• Oversee all site activities, ensuring effective coordination among trades and timely resolution of construction issues.
• Manage project construction scope to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and budget.
• Review and approve lifting plans, construction equipment, and temporary works.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and relevant authority requirements.
• Maintain construction-related SOPs and support temporary/preliminary work packages.
• Assume day-to-day Project Manager responsibilities when required.
• Support commercial performance objectives related to construction activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Diploma holders may be considered with additional relevant experience or professional certifications.
• Minimum 9-11 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with RC precast, cast structures, and steel-framed building construction.
• Previous experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical, or high-technology construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Experience in external works and architectural finishes is advantageous.

Technical Competencies
