Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore is hiring for a hands-on technician to perform hand blending and polishing on engine components, followed by self-inspection to ensure parts meet tolerance and specifications. You will read and interpret operation sheets, perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping tasks, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Minimum GCE O level with 3 years relevant experience; NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Able to read/manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview

Perform hand blending & polishing operations, followed by self-inspection of blended parts to the tolerance and specifications. Read and correct interpretation of Operation Sheets and perform to the expected requirements. Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks.

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience, capable of performing hand blending and polishing operations, self-inspection, interpreting operation sheets accurately, and conducting scheduled maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent;
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing Engineering;
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge in CNC programming
  • Ability to comprehend technical drawings/instructions
  • Ability to use measuring instruments
  • Previously worked in a manufacturing environment
  • A team player
