Job summary

Great Eastern Singapore is seeking a Sales Compliance professional within the Group Market Conduct function. You will support market conduct governance, execute the compliance monitoring program, and conduct audits under the Balanced Scorecard framework.

You will collaborate with Team Leads and the Section Head, assess regulatory requirements, identify risks, and drive timely resolutions. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in any discipline.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in Balanced Scorecard Framework and/or Replacement of Policies.
  • Strong project management experience in system enhancements/upgrades and engaging stakeholders.
  • Ability to address escalated queries while assessing risks and driving timely resolutions.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Govern the Market Conduct function and ensure compliance with the BSC Framework.
  • Execute the compliance monitoring program and conduct sales assurance audits.
  • Engage with Team Leads, Section Head and stakeholders to deliver across Sales Compliance.
  • Provide risk assessments and propose practical controls to meet regulatory requirements.

Job description

Be part of the Group Market Conduct family which strives to safeguard the reputation of the company, through oversight on financial representatives’ market conduct activities and ensuring enforcement actions taken are fair and appropriate. This position is for a role that sits within the Sales Compliance section with primary functions that consist of market conduct governance, executing the compliance monitoring program, and conduct sales assurance audits that is prescribed under the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Framework.

  • Working with the Team Leads and Section Head to manage and execute responsibilities across the entire Group Sales Compliance section with a good understanding of Market Conduct Risk, such as the application of requirements under the BSC Framework (FAA-G14, FAA-N20 and FAQ BSC and LIA MUs etc).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to sales compliance with the ability to apply these principles in daily operations. Demonstrates the ability to independently conduct BSC documentation reviews, assessment of Client Survey, conducting Mystery Shopping Exercises and review Substantiated Complaints.
  • Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Able to pro-actively identify potential risks or gaps in BSC related areas and propose risk management strategies to ensure regulatory and fair dealing requirements are met.
  • In-depth understanding of the Company's BSC framework and AI-enabled solutions to propose and design enhancements to streamline BSC-related activities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Managing system enhancement and upgrade projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, understand business requirements, and clearly articulate requirements to vendors to facilitate effective implementation and delivery.
  • Performing relevant User Acceptance Testing (UAT) associated with new product releases and system testing.
  • Takes ownership to address escalated queries and issues within the assigned area of responsibility by engaging relevant stakeholders to assess concerns and drive timely resolution. Able to propose practical and balanced solutions that meet compliance requirements while understanding business needs (including but not limited to queries from financial representatives and members of the Group Agency & Financial Advisors).
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Involvement in ad hoc assignments/reviews (e.g. Assessment of company’s initiatives, Replacement of Policies – LIA MU49/25) and supporting the team in other areas as required.
  • Degree holder in any discipline.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Balanced Scorecard Framework and/or Replacement of Policies.
  • Strong project management experience in managing system enhancement and upgrade projects and is able to independently engage internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Discipline in meeting strict timeline and goal oriented.
  • Team player, with strong accountability over personal and team deliverables.
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess situations objectively, identify underlying issues, and provide well-reasoned solutions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
