CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Communications & Marketing professional to tell our CIS story and engage parents and stakeholders across all channels.
You will promote the CIS brand to internal and external audiences and help grow the alumni programme, working with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Director of Communications, Marketing & Admissions. This role emphasizes clear English writing and thoughtful content delivery.
Key accountability (Main purpose of this job):
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, this role will be the voice for telling the CIS story. This role will be responsible for driving parents and stakeholder engagement through the creation and delivery of engaging content across all channels. This role will also be responsible for promoting the CIS brand to internal and external audiences, and grow CIS’s reputation as one of the leading schools in Singapore. Working with the Communications Manager, this role will also assist in building the alumni relations programme to promote the achievements and successes of CIS alumni.
Responsibilities (Key areas of Responsibilities):
Share CIS’s brand story in unique, creative and compelling ways across all internal and external channels. This includes, but is not limited to, newsletters, EDMs, editorials, content marketing, social media posts, website, intranet etc.
Help drive thought leadership in the educational space.
Support the MarCom team and internal stakeholders in the planning and delivery of school communication strategies, initiatives and projects.
Incorporate feedback loops and a regular review of communications / channel performance.
Assist with day-to-day communications tasks including newsletter, article / content and collateral creation, crafting email advisories that reflect the CIS brand voice, proofing, photo taking, event coverage and planning, as well as providing ad hoc advice to colleagues.
Establish and build relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; across a range of channels.
Assist in building and promoting the alumni programme.
Co-plan and support the execution of overseas events.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Marketing & Communications Manager and/or Director of Communications, Marketing & Admissions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Communications & Marketing professional.
Excellent communication skills and creative writing skills with a proven track record of strong written English.
High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
Solid organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to details.
Possess an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude, is resourceful and results-oriented.
Experience in media relations will be beneficial.
Experience in the international school sector, either as a parent, educator or communications professional, will be beneficial.
