Job summary

Tardis Group, a Singapore-based team specialising in commercial talent across Global Shipping, Maritime, Energy and Commodity Trading, is seeking commercially driven traders to explore opportunities in physical and derivatives markets. Open roles from Junior to Senior Trader/Trading Manager with APAC focus.

Singapore-based experience is advantageous, with strong international exposure and APAC networks encouraged. All applications are confidential.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical commodity trading and/or derivatives.
• Ability to analyze markets and identify trading opportunities.
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand trading activities across Asia-Pacific.
• Manage trading positions, exposure and P&L.
• Negotiate commercial contracts and pricing with counterparties.
• Collaborate with operations, shipping, chartering, finance and risk teams.
• Build supplier, customer and counterparty relationships.
• Identify trading opportunities through market analysis.

Job description

We are partnering with established commodity trading organisations in Singapore and are keen to connect with commercially driven traders looking to explore new opportunities across physical and derivatives markets.

We welcome profiles across Energy, Oil & Refined Products, LNG/LPG, Metals, Coal, Iron Ore, Agriculture, Grains & Oilseeds and Freight-related commodities.

Candidates should ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

• Physical commodity trading and/or derivatives
• Managing trading positions, exposure and P&L
• Market analysis and identification of trading opportunities
• Developing supplier, customer and counterparty relationships
• Negotiating commercial contracts and pricing
• Risk management, hedging and derivatives
• Working alongside operations, shipping, chartering, finance and risk teams
• Building and expanding trading activities across Asia-Pacific

Candidates ranging from Junior Trader through Senior Trader / Trading Manager level are welcome to apply.

Singapore based experience is advantageous, although candidates with strong international commodity trading exposure and established APAC networks are also encouraged to apply.
