Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team, delivering commissioning strategies across a range of markets with a focus on mission-critical projects.

You will collaborate with contractors, conduct tests, provide technical guidance, and help implement commissioning plans that meet project objectives while upholding HDR's values and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, ideally working within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) sectors.
• Experience conducting equipment inspection, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Singaporean or PR.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning process: undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals.
• Develop commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.
• Provide technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk.
• Work with general contractor teams to align commissioning strategies with project objectives.
• Manage attendance and reporting of factory tests and progress prereqs.
• Record detailed progress and close-out reports; arrange third-party sign-off as necessary.
• Review and develop commissioning documentation and technical papers before publication.

The Role

HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team.This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In this role we will count on you to:

• Manage the commissioning process:
  • Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals.
  • Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.
  • Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk.
  • Working closely with general contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives.
  • Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests.
  • Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests.
  • Attending project and internal meetings as needed.
  • Managing detailed recording of meetings.
  • Recording of detailed progress pre-requisites.
  • Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software.
  • Providing routine progress reporting and final project close out report.
  • Arranging third party sign off as necessary.
• Review and development of Commissioning documentation.
• Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, ideally working within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) sectors
• Experience conducting equipment inspection, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• You are committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• You are proactive, organised and ready to take ownership of commissioning outcomes on complex projects
• Appreciates teamwork and good interpersonal skills
• Singaporean or PR

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized education institutions
• Green Mark AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate – advantageous.
