Job summary

China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced risk engineer to perform on-site risk surveys for Property and Engineering risks across commercial, industrial, and construction sectors. You will assess exposures, review protection systems, and prepare professional risk survey reports with improvement recommendations.

The role supports underwriting, claims, and management teams, ensuring risks are understood and mitigated.

Qualifications

Minimum degree in engineering, risk management, insurance, finance or business.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial lines underwriting or risk engineering.
Strong knowledge of property and/or engineering insurance underwriting.
Experience in conducting on-site risk surveys and preparing professional reports.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site risk surveys for Property and Engineering risks across various sectors.
Assess fire, electrical, machinery, construction, and other risk exposures.
Review fire protection and alarm systems, and housekeeping standards.
Identify hazards and potential PML exposures and document findings.
Prepare risk survey reports with improvement recommendations and follow up.
Provide technical risk engineering advice to underwriting, claims, and management.
