Job summary

Pax Ocean in Singapore is seeking a commercially minded and digitally curious professional to support the Commercial Newbuild team. You will focus on commercial coordination, analysis and reporting, documentation, and process improvement.

You will collaborate with Contracts, Engineering, Projects, Yard Operations, Costing, Procurement, Finance and Legal to close gaps and streamline handovers between functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Maritime Studies, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the discipline to follow through on multiple actions and deadlines.
• Comfortable with numbers and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; interest in process improvement and structured ways of working is a strong advantage.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to coordinate across different functions.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Coordination & Documentation: Support tender and project commercial activities by coordinating inputs, managing deadlines and following up on outstanding actions.
• Commercial Data, Reporting & Research: Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and project-commercial information for internal reporting and follow-up.
• Newbuild Business Process Improvement: Establish and maintain internal newbuild processes, templates, checklists and trackers to improve consistency and reduce rework.
• Commercial Exposure & Development: Participate in selected customer meetings and project reviews to develop commercial knowledge.
