Job Description:
The Credit Collection Strategy team develops data-driven strategies and policies to improve portfolio performance across Monee's consumer and SME lending businesses.
As a regional team, we use customer behaviour, repayment data, risk signals, and operational outcomes to design and continuously refine collection strategies across different customer segments and stages of delinquency. Our work includes segmentation, treatment strategy, prioritization, channel strategy, performance measurement, and strategy optimization.
We work closely with local risk teams, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate analytical insights into scalable policies, decision frameworks, and system capabilities across markets.
- Develop and optimize data-driven collection strategies and policies for consumer and SME credit portfolios across regional markets.
- Analyze customer behaviour, repayment patterns, delinquency trends, and strategy performance to identify opportunities and emerging risks.
- Design customer segmentation, prioritization, treatment, and contact strategies across different stages of delinquency.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators, conduct deep-dive analysis, and recommend strategy enhancements.
- Work closely with local teams to understand market-specific needs and implement the strategy changes related to local operations.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate strategy requirements into system capabilities, automation, and decisioning rules.
- Support UAT, strategy rollout, and post-implementation performance evaluation.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Proficiency in SQL is preferred; experience with Python, SAS, R, or other analytical tools would be an advantage.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to structure problems into clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across regional, local and cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience or internships in credit risk, risk strategy, lending, portfolio analytics, banking, fintech, e-commerce, or consulting would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with consumer or SME lending, credit lifecycle management, or risk decisioning would be an advantage.
