Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science or related subjects with minimum 3 years working experience in coatings-related area.
• Ability to plan and work independently in conducting experiments, organizing data and analysis.
• Basic project management and strong project execution skills.
• Strong laboratory technical skills in coating formulation, application, testing, analysis and characterization.
• Creative and enjoys exploring new technologies.
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Self-driving & self-motivating, fast learner.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D projects in the area of Coatings for various applications.
• Collaborate within the team and with other departments to build up different research projects.
• Independently contribute to innovate, develop, formulate and design new or improved functional coating for various applications.
• Carry out all necessary lab research activities within the timeline of the projects and with good quality outcome.
• Manage and organize lab room to ensure EHSQ & work efficiency.
• Plan experiments and activities based on established projects as well as new ideas.
• Conduct literature and patent searches associated with assigned projects.
• Formulate, apply and characterize material for functional coating experiments.
• Document results and prepare technical reports using Excel, PowerPoint and ELN, with AI tools where appropriate.
• Develop new or revise test methods, processes or procedures to support program or project goals.
• Liaise with external and internal partners as appropriate.
• Supervise interns and plan their work to advance progress.
