Job summary

Makino Asia Group in Singapore seeks a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to provide sustaining engineering support for CNC machinery assembly and drive improvements across manufacturing and assembly lines.

You will assist failure analysis, cost reduction via value engineering, process validation, and design fixtures/tooling for production use, while maintaining SAP BOMs and routings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustaining Engineering support to CNC machinery assembly process.
• Support manufacturing/assembly process improvement.
• Support failure analysis and cost reduction through value engineering activities.
• Support all process validation activities.
• Design and prepare the necessary fixture/toolings for production usage.
• Setup and maintain Bill of Material (BOM) and process routing in SAP.
• Prepare process manual and check sheet for production usage.
• Support engineering activities to improve manufacturing operation KPI’s such as quality, waste, efficiency.
• Maintain and ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO, Regulatory and housekeeping requirements.
• Plan and execute activities with other departments to achieve common goals.
• Perform design and development engineering assignments related to layouts of equipment and systems in plant/production facilities.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer to China/India.
• Follow workplace safety and health systems and rules.
