Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Singapore is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to operate milling, turning, and drilling equipment. You will load materials, adjust parameters, and perform tool changes while ensuring quality through in-process inspections and GD&T-driven checks.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience operating machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of CNC milling or turning operations.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T fundamentals.
• Proficiency in using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC or conventional machines such as milling, turning, or drilling equipment.
• Load raw materials, set basic machine parameters, and perform required tool changes.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measurement tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow process sheets and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities, tool wear, or dimensional deviations.
• Maintain accurate production records including quantities produced, scrap, and machine downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, housekeeping, and compliance with machine guarding requirements.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on machines.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to resolve production issues.
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to handle small and large components.
• Strong commitment to safety and product quality.
