Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a DevOps/SRE engineer to design, build and operate global infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in Linux operations, SRE, or DevOps.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or C++ with automation focus.
• Strong Linux, networks, storage, GPU, and databases knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring, capacity, change governance, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, scale, and operate ByteDance’s global infrastructure.
• Develop tools, automation, visualizations, and monitoring for optimization.
• Create, manage, and standardize cloud AMIs/images across environments.
• Engage in on-call rotations addressing incidents across cloud, OS, network, and performance.
• Drive improvements across the infrastructure lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
