Job summary

ByteDance builds and operates large-scale, massively distributed infrastructures applying SRE principles to ensure traffic services are reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-effective. You will manage systems at scale, including traffic systems for hyperscale datacenters and global load balancers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Development, CS, CE or related field.
• Experience with network systems development in Rust, C, C++, or Go.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features of traffic software (DNS, L4/L7 proxy, Web caching, FaaS).
• Build data pipelines and telemetry systems for real-time traffic control.
• Develop API acceleration and other networking services on the multi-cloud traffic platform.
• Perf tuning and problem solving for online traffic.
• Research new technologies for scalable traffic processing.
