Job summary

MCONNECT CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Software Architect / Full Stack Engineer in Singapore to design and build secure, scalable enterprise applications and microservices. You will work on backend services with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs and JPA/Hibernate, and frontend work with React/Angular, while integrating with financial systems and messaging platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant software development / architecture experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with React and/or Angular and full-stack development.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application integration and API design.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps/DevSecOps and application security.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure and high-performance enterprise applications and microservices.
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and JPA/Hibernate.
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and/or Angular.
• Design and implement enterprise application integrations, APIs and messaging solutions.
• Integrate applications with financial systems, payment platforms and messaging systems such as SWIFT.
• Design cloud-native solutions and deploy on AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins and related DevOps tools.
• Drive application modernization, migration, cloud adoption and technology transformation initiatives.
• Identify, analyse and remediate application, dependency and security vulnerabilities.
• Design and optimise database solutions using PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL.
• Support automated testing using JUnit, x Unit, Selenium and Cucumber.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, stakeholders, infra and security teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and design reviews.
• Prepare and maintain technical docs, architecture diagrams, API specs and integration designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
