Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to build and operate cloud-native digital services supporting secure data exchange and enterprise workflows. This hands-on role covers both software development and production operations across backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

You will work with Java and Spring Boot for backend, JavaScript/React/Next.js for frontend, RESTful APIs, SFTP, and various integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• AWS certification at Associate level or above is required.
• Frontend development with JavaScript/React/Next.js.
• Strong RESTful API design and system integration.
• Experience with SFTP and secure file transfer.
• Familiarity with messaging services (AWS MQ, SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
• Good understanding of software architecture, security, and testing.
• Ownership from development to production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate cloud-native applications and services on AWS.
• Build and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop frontend applications using JavaScript/React/Next.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations across platforms.
• Support secure data exchange through APIs, SFTP, message queues, and other channels.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines, testing, and security.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.
• Provide production support, incident handling, and talk about automation opportunities.
