Job summary

Base Camp Digital in Singapore is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Lead to head a core backend team building scalable services and REST APIs in Golang. You will own platform reliability, cloud infrastructure, and production operations for a global B2B tech business.

You will collaborate with Product, Architecture and DevOps to design high-performance systems and improve observability while driving quality and continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on Golang backend development.
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Background in platform/production engineering and high-volume APIs.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable services.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
• Relational DBs, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring others.
• Experience with B2B product or technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while remaining hands-on technically.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and high-volume REST APIs using Golang.
• Own reliability, scalability, performance and availability of core platform services.
• Design and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Work with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code for deployments.
• Drive engineering practices including code reviews, testing, TDD and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system resilience.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and DevOps to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support modernization and evolution of existing systems.
• Foster a strong engineering culture around quality, ownership and continuous delivery.
