Job summary

Base Camp Digital PTE Ltd is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide a core backend platform team in Singapore. The role combines hands-on development with strategic platform ownership, cloud infrastructure, scalability and production operations for high-volume services.

You will collaborate with product, architecture and ops teams to shape scalable systems that meet business needs while driving best practices, code quality and reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Golang backend development experience.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience leading software engineering teams and mentoring.
• Experience designing and operating high-volume APIs/microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a software engineering team while contributing technically.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and high-volume REST APIs in Golang.
• Own reliability, scalability, performance and availability of core platform services.
• Design and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Work with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure as code for automated deployments.
• Promote engineering best practices: reviews, tests, TDD, docs, continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve resilience and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps and other teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Support modernization and evolution of existing systems and services.
• Foster a culture of quality, ownership and continuous delivery.
