Job summary

GARENA ONLINE PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking aBackend Engineer to design, build, and ship scalable cloud-native backend services using Python or Go. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant full time or internship experience in Backend/ Fullstack/Software development
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Strong experience with Python or Go
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, RESTful API design, and relational database design.
• Experience working in Linux development environments, with exposure to Docker and Nginx.
• Passion for coding, innovation, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Experience in web security and designing or developing large-scale distributed systems is preferred.
• Strong ownership of product delivery, with the ability to drive backend initiatives from planning to production.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders, backend engineers, and cross-functional teams to transform business needs into scalable technical solutions and product workflows, owning the end-to-end delivery lifecycle from estimation and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring to improve user experience, productivity, and organizational efficiency.
• Design, build, and ship scalable cloud-native backend services from concept to production.
• Contribute to enterprise-level systems using Python or Go and related frameworks
• Leverage engineering practices, including development to accelerate delivery while writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong ownership of quality through reviews and documentation.
• Enable reliable delivery of new features and services through effective infrastructure and deployment practices, while optimizing system performance, reliability, scalability, and developer workflows.
