Job summary

Hong Kong Unison Limited seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer/DevOps professional to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP. You will handle GKE clusters, containerized apps with Kubernetes and Docker, and implement Terraform IaC for automated provisioning.

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps with hands-on GCP.
• GKE – Strong hands-on experience
• Kubernetes and Docker
• GCP networking – VPC, subnets, firewall rules
• GCP IAM and service accounts
• Cloud monitoring and logging
• CI/CD concepts and tools
• Production cloud support and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Manage and support GKE clusters, including deployments and scaling.
• Deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Develop and maintain Terraform IaC for automated GCP provisioning.
• Create reusable Terraform configurations/modules and manage infrastructure changes via version control.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and application issues.
• Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams.
• Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Job description

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Manage and support GKE clusters, including deployments, scaling, networking, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Work with GCP Dataproc to provision and manage clusters for distributed data-processing workloads.
• Support Spark/Hadoop workloads running on Dataproc.
• Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated GCP resource provisioning.
• Create reusable Terraform configurations/modules and manage infrastructure changes through version control.
• Configure and manage GCP services including VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Implement GCP networking, security, IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and application issues.
• Implement cloud security, scalability, availability, and performance best practices.
• Automate operational activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams.
• Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
