Job summary

Unison Group in Singapore is seeking a Cloud Engineer/DevOps expert to design and operate cloud infrastructure on GCP, focusing on GKE, Dataproc, and Terraform.

You will work with DevOps and Data teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable services, implement CI/CD pipelines, and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps with hands-on GCP.
• Strong hands-on experience with GKE, Dataproc and Terraform.
• Proficient CI/CD concepts and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infra on GCP.
• Manage and support GKE clusters: deployments, scaling, networking, upgrades.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Provision clusters with GCP Dataproc for distributed data workloads.
• Support Spark and Hadoop workloads on Dataproc.
• Develop Terraform IaC for automated GCP provisioning.
• Configure VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Logging, Monitoring.
• Implement IAM, service accounts, access controls and security best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and app issues.
• Automate operational activities with scripting and IaC.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams.
• Participate in production support, incident management, and performance optimization.

Job description

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Manage and support GKE clusters, including deployments, scaling, networking, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Work with GCP Dataproc to provision and manage clusters for distributed data-processing workloads.
• Support Spark/Hadoop workloads running on Dataproc.
• Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated GCP resource provisioning.
• Create reusable Terraform configurations/modules and manage infrastructure changes through version control.
• Configure and manage GCP services including VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Implement GCP networking, security, IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and application issues.
• Implement cloud security, scalability, availability, and performance best practices.
• Automate operational activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams.
• Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
