Job summary

Populous is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Singapore with 5+ years of experience in AWS/Azure to join our Global IT team. You will design, deploy and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.

You will collaborate across time zones with our Digital team to support cloud migration, optimise performance and enforce best practices, while leveraging the latest tools and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNets, subnets, routing).
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs, Azure NSGs).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, TypeScript).
• Experience designing secure network connectivity (VPNs, private endpoints, hybrid networking).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
• Architecting and implementing secure network solutions, including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing and connectivity.
• Configuration and management of Palo Alto Firewalls, network security groups and security controls.
• Maintaining and extending existing Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, TypeScript), proposing improvements through standard review processes.
• Monitoring system performance, availability, and security using cloud-native and third‑party tools.
• Support cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Designing and maintaining secure connectivity (VPN, site-to-site, client VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).
• Maintaining infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions runners, cloud environments, deployment targets).
• Supporting vulnerability response processes and remediation timelines.
• Troubleshooting and resolving cloud, network, and firewall-related issues.
• Support deployment infrastructure for web applications and on-premises software distribution.
