Job summary

NTT Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and compliance across environments.

The role requires 5–6 years of experience in cloud operations, proficiency in AWS and/or Azure, and strong scripting skills. You will collaborate with developers to integrate cloud services and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in cloud operations, managing cloud based infrastructure, and deploying cloud services.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools for proactive issue detection.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud infrastructure that meets business requirements.
• Create and maintain cloud resources and configurations.
• Ensure cloud resource integrity and consistency across environments.
• Implement, configure, and upgrade cloud services and related software.
• Perform regular cloud maintenance tasks, such as backups, patching, and updates.
• Monitor cloud performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Analyze and optimize cloud performance, including resource tuning and configuration.
• Monitor cloud performance metrics and address potential issues proactively.
• Develop and implement strategies for cloud scalability and capacity planning.
• Implement and manage cloud security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Ensure cloud services comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Work closely with software developers to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with applications.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Diagnose and resolve cloud issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
• Provide on-call support for critical cloud services as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud services, processes, and procedures.
