Job summary

NXGEN is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions that integrate with on-prem Windows and Linux infrastructure. You will optimize networks, implement security controls, and automate deployments using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash.

The candidate will lead cloud migrations, support pre-sales activities, and ensure robust hybrid environments with strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with Windows, Linux, and networking.
• Proficiency in AWS or Azure cloud services and IaC tooling.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration and TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
• Manage Windows and Linux environments (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, performance).
• Configure and troubleshoot networking (firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching).
• Implement cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Automate deployments with Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
• Collaborate on cloud migrations and hybrid environments.
• Document cloud architecture and procedures.
• Assist in pre-sales architecture, proposals, and client presentations.

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Windows and Linux environments, networking, and pre-sales proposal experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions while ensuring seamless integration with on-premises Windows and Linux infrastructure and robust network security. This role requires hands‑on experience in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Windows and Linux server administration, networking protocols, and the ability to support pre‑sales activities such as proposal development and technical solution presentations. Experience in Singapore GovTech GCC environment is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
• Manage and optimize Windows and Linux-based environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and system performance tuning.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure management using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible or Bash.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations and hybrid environments.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Assist in pre‑sales activities, including crafting technical proposals, presenting cloud solutions to clients, and providing technical input for RFPs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in the field with a strong Windows, Linux, and networking background.
• Proficiency in AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible scripting.
• Understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience in pre‑sales architecture, proposal writing, and technical client presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, RHCE, or CCNA/CCNP.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly proposals.
