Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Administrator to join the Infrastructure team in Singapore. You will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments, aligning roadmaps with business goals.

You will lead migration initiatives, develop IaC workflows with Terraform/CloudFormation, and oversee operations, security, and automation across Windows and Linux platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years in design, deployment and operations of cloud solutions (AWS preferred).
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation.
• Certifications such as AWS SA/Pro, RHCSA/RHCE, MSCA are a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Administrator with architecture-level capabilities to join our Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure solutions while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of hybrid cloud environments.

What will you do?

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Architecture

• Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments
• Develop cloud architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry best practices
• Lead cloud migration initiatives and transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing on-premises infrastructure
• Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

Cloud Operations & Administration

• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows and Linux servers across cloud and hybrid environments
• Configure and maintain cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, serverless functions (Lambda), networking, storage, and security components
• Administer and optimise Application Load Balancers (ALB), Network Load Balancers (NLB), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Content Delivery Networks (CDN), and NetScaler
• Manage DNS services including Windows DNS and AWS Route 53
• Oversee Linux and Windows patch management, system upgrades, and lifecycle management

Automation & DevOps

• Design and implement Ansible Automation workflows for infrastructure and application deployment
• Provide DevOps support for infrastructure and application deployment pipelines
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management

Virtualisation & Middleware

• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise virtualisation platforms including VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
• Administer middleware production environments ensuring high availability and performance
• Install, configure, and manage Windows and UNIX servers and services across data centres and cloud platforms

Security & Compliance

• Implement and manage security tools including encryption solutions, secure key management, and identity access management (IAM)
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices, system hardening standards, and regulatory requirements
• Administer ManageEngine and other enterprise management tools
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement remediation strategies

Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Network, Security, Application, and DevOps teams to implement enterprise-wide solutions
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for cloud infrastructure, Unix/Linux, and Windows-related issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and application deployments
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to cloud architecture, system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, and technology assessments to support organisational growth
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements based on best practices and changing requirements
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• More than 12 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure administration, or similar roles
• At least 3 years of focused experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions and operations (preferably on AWS cloud)
• Demonstrated experience in architecting and implementing hybrid cloud environments
• Strong proficiency in AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, IAM, CloudFormation
• Experience with AWS Cloud Platform is advantageous
• Proficiency in Linux Server operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022)
• Understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Expertise in cloud networking, storage solutions, and security configurations
• Experience administering Application Load Balancers (ALB), Network Load Balancers (NLB), and NetScaler
• Understanding of WAF, CDN, VPN, and hybrid networking architectures
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
• Preferred certifications in Microsoft Certified: MSCA, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), ITIL Foundation certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
• Ability to design end-to-end cloud architectures ensuring compatibility, security, and performance
