Job summary

SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS) seeks a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to support our Procedural Skills Laboratory and Cadaver Repository in Singapore. You will set up labs, prepare specimens for research and training, and provide technical help during workshops.

You will assist with cadaver handling, including embalming and dissection, perform radiography when needed, and manage inventory while coordinating with external partners. Safety and hygiene are paramount.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education required.
• Basic computer skills for routine office tasks.
• Comfortable handling cadaveric specimens, including formalin-preserved and other specimens.
• Knowledge of human anatomy would be advantageous for this role.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and extended hours to support training workshops when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the PSL and prepare specimens for research and training activities.
• Provide technical support during workshops, and assist with cadaver handling procedures including embalming and dissection.
• Perform radiography duties when necessary.
• Manage inventory and equipment; coordinate with external partners.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards in the PSL.
• Support Body Donation Programme and Tissue Bank Programme.
