Job summary

SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS) in Singapore invites applications for a Clinical Laboratory Assistant (2-year contract). You will set up the Procedural Skills Laboratory, prepare specimens for research and training, and provide logistical and administrative support to the PSL and Cadaver Repository.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education
• Basic computer skills required for routine office tasks
• Comfortable handling cadaveric specimens, including formalin-preserved and other specimens
• Knowledge of human anatomy would be advantageous for this role
• Flexibility to work on weekends and extended hours to support training workshops when required
• Initiative and commitment to upholding laboratory protocols on safety and hygiene

Responsibilities

• Set up the PSL and prepare specimens for research and training activities
• Provide technical support during workshops
• Assist with cadaver handling procedures including embalming and dissection
• Perform radiography duties when necessary
• Manage inventory and equipment; coordinate with external partners
• Uphold safety and hygiene standards in the PSL
