Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 4 years in a client-facing role within financial services.
• CAMS certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AML and CDD policies, including cross-jurisdictional requirements.
• Commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
• Professional demeanour with patience and adaptability.
• Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Japanese proficiency at least B2 to communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with bankers and stakeholders to define KYC onboarding requirements.
• Proactively collect and follow up on required KYC documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and internal teams across regions.
• Track KYC onboarding populations with coverage and relationship teams.
• Remove obstacles to meet onboarding deadlines and guide cases to completion.
• Ensure portfolios are covered across lines and regions per governance.
• Identify risks from non-compliance and impact on business growth.
• Collect feedback to support process improvements.
• Implement changes from regulatory updates and internal controls.
• Escalate inefficiencies and propose client-outcome improvements.
• Collaborate with Banking, Sales, FLU and cross-regional teams.
• Ensure timely collection of all required client documentation.
• Advocate for the client while complying with laws and standards.
• Meet performance metrics and resolve exceptions timely.
• Develop expertise in CDD and guide clients through compliance.
• Support EDD/ECDD documentation when required.
• Safeguard non-public information per data privacy policies.
• Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused team culture.
