Job summary

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join BCG X and help design, build, and deploy AI solutions for clients across industries. You will translate business needs into technical solutions and contribute to end-to-end analytics projects.

You’ll work with engineers, data scientists, consultants, and clients, applying software development practices, optimizing algorithms, and delivering scalable AI software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Strong programming foundations and Python proficiency.
• Exposure to machine learning, AI, GenAI/LLMs, data analytics, or statistical modelling.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply software development practices and standards to build robust and maintainable software.
• Be actively involved across the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
• Build and deploy scalable AI and software solutions to solve real-world business challenges.
• Optimize and enhance the performance and computational efficiency of algorithms and software.
• Work directly with clients and BCG X teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, consultants, and clients to share software design and solution ideas.
• Contribute to BCG X’s broader AI engineering knowledge and innovation.
