Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s may be required for some roles.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license often required for senior positions or signing off on plans.
• Relevant civil engineering experience; internships or prior roles typically expected.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to analyze data and engineer problems into effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and teams.
• Ability to lead project teams or supervise junior engineers.
• High attention to detail to ensure design accuracy.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering plans and designs for infrastructure projects.
• Use CAD software to create and analyze designs.
• Oversee the construction and implementation of projects to meet design specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure safety and code compliance.
• Evaluate existing structures and systems for potential improvements or repairs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
