Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Singapore team, delivering design and project management services for water, road, and drainage projects. You will perform preliminary and detailed design, calculations, and prepare tender documents as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

You bring a recognised Civil Engineering degree, 2–8 years of design experience, knowledge of local standards, and proficiency with civil software.

Qualifications

• Recognised Civil Engineering qualification or related field (Bachelor/Master’s).
• Strong knowledge of civil design standards and regulations for local codes.
• Experience using Civil Engineering software and preparing design outputs.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and project management for civil projects (roads, drainage, sewerage, water).
• Carry out design calculations and prepare sketches, tender docs and proposals.
• Write, consolidate and review technical reports for water projects and studies.
• Resolve tasks during design and construction stages and ensure compliance with criteria and standards.
• Work independently and communicate effectively within the project team.

What will you do?

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

• Provide comprehensive design and project management services to clients, including preliminary & detailed design of Water projects including roadworks, earthworks, sewerage, water, and drainage.
• Carry out design calculations and produce sketch drawings, preparation of tender documents and proposals.
• Write, consolidate, and review technical reports of water projects and studies.
• Possess initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise during design and construction stages.
• Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/ Approved Concept, as well as relevant design standards and office standards.
• Work independently and have excellent communication skills with project team-mates as part of a team.

You will also need the following:

• Recognized Civil Engineering qualification or related field (Bachelor/ Master’s degree).
• Minimum 2 to 8 years of professional design experience in the field of civil works design preferably in roads, drainage, and sewerage projects of PUB, JTC, HDB, URA, LTA, etc.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of civil related regulation, standards, and reference of design – such as Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and statutory requirements (LTA, BCA, PUB etc.), with hands on experience in usage of Civil Engineering Software.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication and project coordination skills.
