Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Singapore. You will contribute to design and project management for water, roads, earthworks, sewerage, and drainage projects for clients worldwide.

You will apply your civil engineering knowledge, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with standards. The role emphasizes learning, diversity, and delivering high-impact infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–8 years of professional design experience in civil works.
• Knowledge of design standards (LTA, PUB, BCA) and applicable codes.
• Strong writing and presentation abilities.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and project management for water-related infrastructure including roads and drainage.
• Carry out design calculations and prepare tender documents and reports.
• Ensure compliance with client briefs, design criteria and office standards.
• Communicate effectively with project teammates and stakeholders.

What will you do?

In this position you will join our Infrastructure business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects.

• Provide comprehensive design and project management services to clients, including preliminary & detailed design of Water projects including roadworks, earthworks, sewerage, water, and drainage.
• Carry out design calculations and produce sketch drawings, preparation of tender documents and proposals. Write, consolidate, and review technical reports of water projects and studies.
• Possess initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise during design and construction stages.
• Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/ Approved Concept, as well as relevant design standards and office standards.
• Work independently and have excellent communication skills with project team-mates as part of a team.

• Recognized Civil Engineering qualification or related field (Bachelor/ Master’s degree).
• Minimum 2 to 8 years of professional design experience in the field of civil works design preferably in roads, drainage, and sewerage projects of PUB, JTC, HDB, URA, LTA, etc.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of civil related regulation, standards, and reference of design – such as Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and statutory requirements (LTA, BCA, PUB etc.), with hands on experience in usage of Civil Engineering Software.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
• Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication and project coordination skills.
